Former farmhouse, now 2 semi-detached houses. Pre C17, extended
C17, altered C20. White painted brick-nogged timber framing,
stone plinth; painted brick right gable; thatched roof.
Probably 4 bays long, 1 room deep, 2 storeys, upper largely in
roof. Front elevation: left end long brace from sill to main
corner post: framing 2 panels high to eaves. To right 2 single-
pane windows, half-glazed C20 flush door, two 2-light C20
casements, old 2-light casement: above 2-light casement in swept
dormer. To right cambered head to former doorway, and single
panel framing: framing then becomes 3-panel high. Two-light C20
casement: similar above in gable rising from eaves, V-struts in
apex. To right half-glazed C20 door: brace corner post to
wallplate. Roof half-hip at left end, brick chimney against
gable: chimney on ridge behind blocked door, ridge slightly lower
to right. Very slight hip to top of right gable. Right return
rebuilt in brick to eaves level, 3-light late C20 window: timber-
framed truss above: 3-light C20 casement in lower half, upper part
covered weatherboarding. Probably 3-bay house extended and lofted
C17. Interior not inspected.
