House. Late C16 or early C17, extended early C18, altered C19,
C20. Brick-nogged timber framing on stone plinth; clay tiles:
random rubble leanto extension on right, slate roof. Single bay,
gable to road, 2½ storeys, leanto to eaves on left, lower on right.
Rear extension not of special interest. To road: close studded
timber-framing, single panel high per floor, some nogging set
herringbone. Boarded door up 5 stone steps, wooden Tudor arch
over, C20 surround. Three-light casement on left, weatherboard
over. Stone lean-to on right; square-panel timber-framing left.
First floor long braces corner posts to bressumer: 3-light
casement, weatherboard over. Gable, collar to truss: 2-light
casement over; decorative bargeboards, extending down leanto on
left. In centre block behind leanto on left large stone chimney
base; single mid C20 brick stack above replacing 2 diamond-set
brick ones. Right return, boarded door up one stone step, 2-light
casement, both with cambered brick arches; dentil eaves. Close-
studded timber framing above leanto, long braces as front, blocked
window in centre. Forms group with church and Church House,
(q.v.). Interior not inspected.
