C17 in origin. Enlarged and remodelled in Cotswold idiom 1914 for Lord Gainsborough.
Rubble with Cotswold stone tile roof. Entrance front (east) has 2 storey mid C19
wing with slate roof, tall chimney break to right. Adjacent is a 2½ storey gable
with 2 storey angled bay bearing Noel Arms and initials M.G., 2 light mullion
window above. South front also 2½ storeys. Two gabled dormers. Three windows,
leaded casements, on ground floor 3 and 5 light stone mullion type with drips.
Moulded Tudor arch doorway to left of centre. Large chimney with moulded capping.
Interior much altered but retains one original mullion window of back wall, now
blocked by extension and chamfered beams in principal ground floor room.
