Early C18 remodelling. Two storeys, rubble with Cotswold stone roof to south and
tiled roof to north. Two ashlar chimneys, the one over the eastern gable treated
as an architectural feature with a cornice. Three windows to north. glazing bar
sashes with beaded edges on first floor, 2 small irregular windows to ground floor.
The main feature is the east gable end: 2½ storeys ashlar with segment-headed
windows, glazing bar sashes in beaded surrounds with corniced keystoned (one to
attic, 2 on first floor); coped verge with urn finials on large carved bases.
Inter-war Georgian bank front with 2 windows and right hand door with moulded
cornice. South side irregular with dormered side chimney and 2 first floor windows
flanking a door. Ground floor screened from road by later extension whose south wall
(about 6 yds long and 8 ft high) contributes to the High Street character at this
point. Isolated block in the middle of High Street, known as the Square).
