"Erected by public subscription 1848, James Cross, Bailiff". Cast by Joseph Cranston of Hemel Hempstead. Cast-iron obelisk with panelled and ornamented sides, including small portrait of Henry VIII, roundels, panels. Surmounted by post enriched with four console scrolls and carrying lantern with finial.
