House, now farmhouse. c.1570. Timber framed with wattle and daub and some
clay lump infill on brick plinth. Black glazed pantiled roof, red to rear.
Cross wing plan. 2 storeys. Central range flanked by gabled cross wings.
2 asymmetrical doors, that to right C19. 2 renewed lower casements. 3 3-light
timber mullioned casements above of C17 or C18. Gabled roof. North wing has
one renewed window each floor and C20 French window. Attic storey. Ground
floor encased in brick. Timber studding on north wall exposed. Gabled roof
with bargeboards. C20 stack. South wing similar with early C19 tripartite
window to ground floor. Rear with C18 catslide extension timber framed on
brick plinth. Fenestration C19 and C20. 2 C20 flat dormers and 2 large
external stacks. Original staircase rising to attic survives. Heavy turned
balusters on square bases. Newel posts with incised rectangular fields and
top ball finials. Moulded handrails.
