Farmhouse. Second half C17. Timber framed with wattle and daub infill with
some brick. Pantiled roof. Through passage plan. 2 storeys. Original door
to right and later door left of centre. Scattered C18 casements. Central
ridge stack and subsidiary external north gable stack. Gables with 2 drip
shelves and louvred roof ventilation panels. Heavy wall plate. Kitchen outshut
to rear. Interior timber framing arch braced at corners and at main frame
divisions. Spine beams to ground floor with tongue stops. Winder staircase
by stack. Solid treads from first floor to attic. Some internal doors retain
H hinges. Tie beam roof with Queen post struts to collars and one tier of
clasped purlins.
