TF 91 NW BEESTON-WITh-BITTERING BITTERING

Farmhouse. C17 and later. Flint with brick dressings to original parts,
otherwise brick. Pantile roofs. Lobby entrance type house with western half
rebuilt in brick in late C18. 2 storeys with attic. 2-,3-and 4-light C18
mullion and transom casement windows with segmental heads to south facade
with modern flat roofed porch opposite stack. Original blocked opening above
porch. 2-storey gabled porch''with attic to rear with the 2 windows (one
blocked) and entrance retaining rectangular hood moulds. Flanked by later
outshuts. Massive axial stack with 6 octagonal shafts. Interior with winding
stair between stack and 2-storey porch. Original brick arched fireplace and
C18 coved recess and some raised and fielded panelled doors.
