Public House. Mid C16 core, fabric now entirely C17 and C18.
Timber framed with infilling of rendered clay lump and brick on brick and flint plinth. Thatched roof. One storey and dormer attic. 4 doors at irregular intervals. Various renewed casements. Overhanging eaves with 2 flat roofed pantiled dormers with C20 casements. Gabled roof with 4 regularly spaced stacks, that to south gable external. Rear has single flat dormer as front. Low pantiled outshut over half storey collar. North gable C18, brick with tumbling.
South room C18 with open roof and fireplace. Central and north rooms timber framed and largely mid C17, both with spine beams, the former with chamfer stops. Winder staircase by north gable wall. Butt purlin roof.
