of the Dower House
GV II
Range of outbuildings, perhaps originally brewhouse and
kennels. Early C18. Red brick and coursed limestone rubble,
Collyweston stone slate roofs. Red brick block, perhaps
brewhouse, has hipped roof with hipped ventilator dormer and 2
brick ridge stacks. One storey, originally 5-window range,
bays 3 and 4 now pierced by large round-headed opening. Bays 1
and 2 have cross windows, partly blocked, that to bay 1 with
some small-paned glazing, that to bay 2 with ventilator to
upper part. Bay 5 has low door and recess over with Montagu
arms. Bi-coloured brick voussoirs. Attached low stone range
has monopitch roof, is divided by a central flight of steps,
and has plain door and window openings, some with simple
wooden doors.
