Public House. Date stone inscribed "JBS 1769". Rough cast
and stone dressings, stone slate roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays;
the 2nd bay of 2 storeys, recessed, the 1st bay of one
storey, recessed. 2nd bay has top cornice, 3rd, 4th and 5th
bays have frieze with date stone and cornice. Windows have
rusticated wedge lintels and moulded sills, C20 louvred
shutters; most are sashed, no glazing bars, 2nd floor
casements. Round-headed entrance has Doric doorcase with
flat pilasters and open pediment; 6-panel door. 3 brick
gable-end stacks.
