House. Early C18. Red brick with painted stone dressings, quoins,
band and plinth. Steeply pitched hipped plain tile roof with central
brick stack behind ridge. 2 storeys on moulded stone plinth with first
floor band, rusticated quoins and moulded stone cornice. Regular 5-bay
front; glazing bar sashes in open boxes with moulded raised surrounds,
central first floor window with eared surround topped by pulvinated
frieze and raised central part of main cornice. Over the centre of the
window is a carved acanthus bracket, and to the sides are tall moulded
volute brackets. Central entrance with 6-panelled door in moulded
surround topped by segmental, partially open, pediment. 4 steps up to
door. Right return front: 4 bays with glazing bar sashes in open
boxes, all with painted keystones. Interior: Very plain. C19
staircase, probably not in original position. All doors in simple C18
wooden surrounds with plank or plain doors.
