Hall Farmhouse

House. Mid-late C18 with C19 extensions. Red brick, tiled roof with coped
gables and flanking brick chimneys. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-bays. Good
brick eaves cornice with corbelled dentils. Transomed wooden casements, 3-light
flanking 2-light, all with gauged brick heads. Central C20 door with
rectangular fanlight and similar head. Attic window in left gable. 2-storey
rear wing with sashes. To right is an L-plan C19 extension with 3-light wooden
casements in projecting gable. Hipped C20 porch in angle with casement above.
Interior has central C18 staircase with turned balusters, moulded handrail and
closed string. Large high fireplaces with stop-chamfered lintels and later
mantelpiece cornices. Stop-chamfered spine beams.
