Circa 1870. Nine pierced cast-iron gate piers square in section with
pilaster shafts at angles, pointed arch heads. Between are gates and
railings with spandrels of linked rings. Two piers flanking centre gateway
are higher with cast-iron cattle and rams heads in tympanum of arched
head facing in four directions. At ends red brick piers with similar
but larger stone arched heads with animal heads.
