Small country house. Late C17. Ashlar and coursed squared stone with plinth,
rusticated quoins, stone bands and dressings, coved eaves cornice and hipped
Collyweston slate roof with 2 symmetrical moulded stone ridge stacks of 4 linked
flues each. Square plan. 2½ storeys and basement of 5 mullion and transom windows
with moulded stone frames and sills. 2 2-lights either side central 1-light over
plain stone tablet and 2-panelled door with overlight. This up flight of stone
steps with iron railings. 2 2-light dormers and 2 2-light and a 1-light basement
windows. Principal garden front to left. This is almost identical to entrance
front except that 2 main floors of ashlar, central door part-glazed and also
has 1st floor band as well as ground floor band. Perhaps the original entrance
front. Rear garden front also almost identical except that central 1-light window
replaces door and no flight of steps. Right front to kitchen yard similar but
of 3 windows. Right ground floor window is glazed but blank behind. This also
in entrance front left ground floor window. Linked to main block a similar 1
storey outhouse with moulded stone end stack.
