9/83 Elston Cottage

Farmhouse, C18, altered, now house. Coursed squared red and yellow
sandstone with quoins, slate roof (stone slate at rear) with one gable
chimney. Double-depth 2-bay plan. Two storeys, symmetrical: former
central doorway altered as window, two 3-light windows with slightly
recessed chamfered mullions on each floor. Modern garage with pitched
roof attached to left gable wall, glazed conservatory to right gable wall.
Rear has inter alia three 2-light windows like those at front, and doorway
altered as window opposed to that in front. Interior: altered internal
partitions, but some large square beams and stout joists survive.
