GV II*

House of 1740. Coursed squared stone with stone dressings, plinth,
quoins and Collyweston slate roof with moulded stone central ridge and
end stacks, that to right projecting. Stone coped gables. 2 storeys of
6 6/6 sash windows over 5 similar and centre right doorcase. All have
moulded stone architraves with keystones and doorcase has cushioned frieze
and cornice as well. 6-panelled door. A 1st floor window is blocked
behind wooden frame. 3 2-light hipped dormers. Double span wing to
rear, part with gambrel roof. Further sashes. C18 plasterwork in entrance
hall. House forms important group with Church of Holy Trinity (q.v.)
