Lychgate. Probably 1879 by Douglas of Chester. Oak with stone slate roof.
Gateposts have curved braces down to ground plates and up to the short
tie-beams of the roof. They are joined by a beam which is inscribed on
its eastern side: 'Grant O Lord that through the grave and gate of Death
we may pass to our joyful Resurrection'.
