8/15 Pair of boundary stones at SD 417 059
- II
Two boundary stones. Probably early and mid C19. Sandstone. Both of
triangular plan. Both inscribed 'Bickerstaffe' on left-hand face and
'Aughton' on right-hand face. Lettering on north-eastern stone appears to
be earlier. Parts of these boundary stones are in Bickerstaffe C.P. (q.v.)
