Base of former medieval preaching cross. Stone. Broad square block with weathered and worn top (possibly used for sharpening tools or weapons), with inscribed lettering round the sides stating that it is a preaching cross dated 1000 AD; removed from village green in 1818. Latterly used as a base for a (19 sundial mounted on dressed stone column, the latter removed or stolen c2000.
