House, early C19th. Scored render with sandstone dressings and slate roof. 2
storeys with attic. Main part of east (garden) front symmetrical with end
pilasters and a cornice with blocking course. Windows sashed with glazing bars.
Central 2-storey bow has a window with plain stone surround on both floors,
each of 3 lights with square mullions. The 2 bays on each side of the bow have
windows with plain reveals. The ground-floor window to the right of the bow has
been converted into a door. To the right of the main facade is a further bay with
a lower cornice and with similar windows. Chimneys to right of bow and to right
of main facade. The west (entrance) facade has pilasters corresponding with those
to the east, and a cornice with blocking course. A 2-storey ashlar porch has
corner pilasters, a cornice, and stepped parapet. The door has a shouldered
architrave in an attached Ionic porch, distyle in antis. The 1st floor window
has a shouldered architrave. To the right of the porch is one bay having windows
with plain reveals. To the left one bay of ashlar has a stair window with
semi-circular head and rebated surround. The bay to its left has windows with
plain reveals. Further left, beyond a pilaster, is one bay having windows with
plain reveals. To its left is a door. Interior not accessible at time of survey,
but said to contain no features of interest.
