Two houses, 1694 and early C19. Sandstone rubble with brick chimneys and
slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Windows are sashed with glazing bars and
have plain reveals and stone lintels and sills. Door, between bays, has
chamfered stone surround with battlemented linel inscribed: '1694 WH'.
Straight joint to left of door, with left-hand part of facade of watershot
masonry. Greenhalgh Cottage, to the right beyond another straight joint,
is of one bay and has modern windows with glazing bars in openings with
stone lintels and sills. Door, to left under modern timber porch, has
plain reveals. Chimneys on gables and between houses.
