Guidepost 1816. Sandstone, of rectangular section with flat top. Front
face reads 'To Hornby'. Right-hand face reads 'To Slaidburn'. Left-hand
face illegible. At the rear is inscribed '1816'. Stands on the road
across Salter Fell to Hornby, now used as a footpath only.
