7/97 Swindlehurst Farmhouse

House, late C18th with C17th remains. Pebbledashed rubble with
sandstone dressings and slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. The
right-hand part of the facade has 2 3-light windows on the ground
floor with architraves and square mullions. Above are 2 windows
with plain stone surrounds. Between the ground-floor windows is a
door with plain stone surround. At the left-hand end of the facade
is a 6-light mullioned window with king mullion, inner hollow
chamfer and outer chamfer. One of the lights has diamond-leaded
panes. On the 1st floor is a window with plain stone surround.
To the right is a door with plain stone surround. Plain stone gutter.
Stacks on gables and to the right of the left-hand bay. The left-hand
gable stack projects. Interior has little of interest visible apart
from some cyma-stopped common joists in the room entered from the
left-hand door.
