Hall house. C16. Restored at end of C19. Timber-frame with plaster infill
to east, red brick on ground-floor to left, single bay at right with rubble-
stone ground-floor. Tiled roof. Gable to left of east front, jettied on
1st floor. Irregular fenestration. 4 C19 casements on 1st floor, and one
in gable with wooden mullions, hidden inside by wattle and daub wall. 4 C19
casements on ground floor. C17 boarded door in frame with moulded shafts
to left of extreme right-hand ground-floor window. North gable and heavily
restored with exposed framing showing jowls on wall plates. Tile-hanging
on 1st floor of south end wall. Steep catslide roof extending from part of
rear of building. Interior: C16 fireplace on west wall of former hall. 2
decorative wall-paintings with strap work decoration, possible of religious
nature, late C16-early C17 in drawing room at south end of house, formerly
parlour, probably.
