House. Mid C18. Red brick with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and
attic on plinth with stacks to left and to right and 2 hipped dormers.
Regular fenestration of 5 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 4 on
ground floor with gauged heads and flying cornice. Central half-
glazed door in C19 gabled porch. The house was built (as a Rectory)
with £200 from Queen Anne's Bounty and £200 from St. John's College
Oxford (the patron) mid to late C18. (See Hasted, X, 9.77).
