House. Early C18 front to C17 or earlier rear wing. Flint with brick and
stone dressings and with plain tiled roof. Two storeys with plinth and
plat band, stone quoins and box eaves to hipped roof with stacks to left and
to right, with skylight. Regular fenestration of 5 glazing bar sashes on
first floor and 4 on ground floor with rough dressed heads. Central door of
6 panels , the top 2 glazed with flat porch on slender piers. Rear wing of
1st storey and attic constructed in same materials and pattern, but with
English bond brickwork, greater use of rubble and dressed stone blocks,
hipped roof and large scantling ceiling joists interior indicate earlier
age. Initialed tile on outside M .Large inglenook and bread oven in rear
wing. R M
