Cherry Tree Cottage
II

House. Early-to-mid C19. Front elevation rendered, sides painted brick.
Darkened weatherboarding to two front gables. Thatched roof. Central
section with cross-wing projecting to front, and probably to rear, at each
end. Single storey, on low rendered plinth. Wings gabled to front. Roof
of central section continued down to cover section between wings, supported
on four painted wooden posts. Two small brick ridge stacks to rear of
right wing. Regular 4-window front of pointed Gothick casements leaded with
hexagonal quarries; one two-light with Y tracery to front of each wing, and
two three-light to central section (three joined pointed lights without
overall architrave). Canted C19 bay window to left side of left wing and
three to right side of right wing, with thatched roof continued over them.
Low single-storey painted brick addition with hipped plain tile roof at
right-angles to rear of left wing, extending across rear of house. Interior
not inspected.
