House. c.1830. For the Gunton estate. Rendered clunch with gault brick dressings and thatch
roof with brick central ridge stack having 4 octagonal flues. Elaborate cottage orne' style. Single
storey and attic; 2-window range of 2-light leaded casements with similar dormers over. Central
door. Running the full length of the front is an open verandah with thatched roof supported on
wooden posts and having a gable in the centre. Similar casements to both ends, that to left with
part-glazed door and porch which very likely overlooked a subsidiary gateway on the estate.
Outshut with catslide roof along full length to rear. Decorative bargeboards overall.
INTERIOR. Back-to-back small open fireplaces with brick arches; plank doors; arched ceiling
in former dairy.
