Laithe-house. "H K 1691 N W" on datestone but appearing
largely to be of the C18. Hammer-dressed watershot stone
with slate roof. Total of 3 bays and 2 storeys with barn to
left. Quoins. Square-cut door surround inserted into an
earlier dressed surround. Windows include a 4-light
chamfered mullion window (with 2 mullions missing), three 4-
light flat-faced mullion windows and 2 enlarged C20 window
openings. Bay 3 is of a slightly later build and has a door
obscured by C20 porch. The barn (left) has a massive lintel
over a cart entry with square light above. Door to left
gable-end. The eaves have been raised and the datestone
which is relocated is in the later masonry.
