Former National School, now commercial premises. Inscription above rear
door records building in 1842, addition of north classroom
in 1889 and south classroom and entrance in 1892. Hammer-
dressed stone with rock-faced stone additions and graduated
stone slate roof. Four bays and two storeys with additions to
rear forming a parallel range, Symmetrical elevation
consisting of four 5-light double-chamfered stone mullion
windows on each floor with transoms on the ground floor
only. Projecting plinth and continuous hoodmould to ground
floor windows. Boldly projecting but truncated chimney
stacks between bays 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. Gable-ends have
similar 5-light windows on either floor, a 1-light attic
window, and doors which are obscured by C20 porches. The
rear additions have various 2, 3,4 and 5-light stone mullion
windows. Interior altered but retaining some original
