Charity cottages, inscribed "J. P. and A. M. Heywood 1863"
on a shield over the doorways of Nos. 99 and 101. Red
sandstone with slate roofs. 2 storeys, 5 bays. End bays
project under gables. Windows of 2 and 3 lights with
double-chamfered mullions. Central paired entrances have
segmental pointed heads and label mould raised over
cartouche with inscription, doors have elaborate hinges.
Similar entrance in returns have hoodmoulds. Brick extension
to rear. 2 stone stacks.
