Church. 1876-7. T.D. Barry & Son. Rock faced stone with
red ashlar dressings and slate roof. Nave with aisles under
lean-to roofs, transepts, chancel and chapels, north west
tower. Gabled south porch. West end has 2:6:2 light
windows with geometrical tracery, aisles have 2-light
windows and similar clerestory. Tower has angle buttresses;
north entrance of one order with crocketed hood with 2-light
window over, 3-face clock and 3 bell openings of 3 orders,
Lombard frieze, cornice and embattled parapet; gargoyles.
Transepts have 4-light windows. Canted chancel flanked by
gabled chapels all with 3-light windows. The church stands
on the site of 2 previous churches of C13 and C18.
