2 houses, originally 1 house. Late C18. Flemish bond brick
with slate roof. Double-depth plan with a total of 5 bays
and 2 storeys and with lower l-bay wings set back to either
side. Symmetrical elevation with projecting stone plinth and
eaves cornice. Paired central entrances with 4-panel doors,
overlights and stone surrounds are of late C19 date and
replace a pedimented single door which is still seen in No.
6 Fairfield Square (q.v.). 4 ground floor and 5 first floor
windows with stone sills, flat brick arches and sashes with
glazing bars removed. The flanking bays each have a paired
sash window on the ground floor and 4-light casement on the
first. Gable chimney stacks.
