House. 1774 on lintel in left gable. Flemish and header bond
brick with graduated stone slate roof. Double-depth central-
staircase plan with 2 storeys and later additions to left
and rear. The central bay is slightly advanced. Eaves
cornice. Central 8-panel door in pilasters and cornice head
with overlight and later larger classical surround. Flanking
round bows are additions and have tripartite sashes curved
on plan, sill bands and eaves cornices. 3 first floor sash
windows (16 and 12-pane) under flat gauged brick arches with
stone keys, the centre scrolled. (one window replaced by C20
casement). Gable chimney stacks. Small central dormer
window. 2-bay C19 addition to left. Interior: 6-panel doors
and a staircase with turned balusters and column newel.
