Headstone. Dated 1776 in memory of members of the Everest family. Upright
sandstone slab standing approx 400mm high. Its shaped head is carved with a
row of 4 winged cherubs' heads under a cloud. The inscription begins in
Gothic lettering and follows in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering.
It records the deaths of 4 children, Elizabeth, Peter, Hannah and William, in
1775 and 1776.
