Park Lodge. Suriving lodge of the former Grosvenor Gate. c.1825 by
Decimus Burton. Portland stone, slate roof. Severe but simple
miniature Greek Revival essay. 1 storey. Rectangular plan. Single
bay to south face. Architraved doorway to north end and blind eared
architraved window to south end, blind east side, with plinth, quoin
pilasters, simple cornice and pediment-gable ends. One of a series of
Park Gate lodges designed by Burton contemporary with and subsequent
to his Hyde Park Corner Screen qv.
