Former factory building. Late C18 and early C19. For Wallsuches Bleach Works. Dressed stone and brick with hipped slate roof. Two storeys, five bays, the second and fourth bays break forward. First storey of brick; top frieze and cornice. Windows have narrow lintels and are sashed with glazing bars, but window to second bay of first floor is blind. Round-headed entrances with imposts and keys to second and fourth bays; that to second bay is blocked, that to fourth bay has doorcase and fanlight, C20 door. Wallsuches Bleach Works, founded 1775, was one of the first chemical bleach works in the country. A rare and early example of a bleach works building.
