Terraced town houses forming north side of square. c.1815-20 Portman
Estate development. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground floors;
concealed slate roofs. Unified block. 4 storeys (No. 18 with 5th
storey) and basements. 3-window wide fronts. Semicircular arched
doorways to left up to the centre pair which adjoin and to the right
thereafter; panelled doors in Greek Doric column jambs carrying Greek key
enriched heads and fanlights. Recessed sashes, most with glazing bars,
under flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor
and crowning stucco cornices and blocking courses. 1st floor
geometric-anthemion pattern balconies. Urn finialed area railings.
