Mortuary and lodge with linking walls and piers. c.1880. Red brick with stone dressings, slate roofs. Simple Gothic style. The lodge to left hand and the mortuary to right. The mortuary of one storey with canted west end and gable end to street with two-light plate tracery window and saddlestone gable; one similar window to side and pointed arch doorway. Stone coped wall with miniature crenellated gate piers and retaining wall behind, with steps, links the mortuary with the lodge to left. This is of one storey and attic in gable with stone quoins and saddlestone, and pent roofed porch to side. Two-light casements, one to each floor.
