Grand terrace of houses. Circa 1825 onwards. Part of estate laid out and
largely designed by T. and L. Cubitt. Stucco and brick. Slate mansards. 3
storeys, attic, attic mansard and basement. Each house 3 windows wide. Centre 4
houses and end pairs set forward slightly with giant Corinthian order of columns
and pilasters to first and second floor. Channelled stucco to ground floor.
Projecting Greek Doric porches. Panelled doors. Round headed windows to ground
floor. Continuous first floor cast iron balcony (stucco balstrade to centre and
end pairs). Square gauged headed windows, sashed, mostly glazing bars. French
casements to first floor. Cornice above second floor. Subsidiary cornice above
third floor. Grand return elevations. Cast iron spearhead area railings.
Integral part of Eaton Square planned layout.
