SP21SW Barn and Dovecote
1/313 (8/596A) about 32m N.W. of The
12.9.55 Old Rectory.

Cotswold barn and dovecote. Probably C18. Rubble with Cotswold stone
roof (artificial to rear slopes). Main part about 5 bays with central
projecting gable which is taller than the linking midstrey. Flanking
lean-to right of it. Further stable buildings at each end of barn. fine
central gable contains a dovecote over the draught entry doors; the south
gable has been rebuilt, eliminating the pigeon - entries; window/entry to
rear. Interior said to be lined with nesting boxes (interior not
inspected).
