Formerly the Lord Nelson Inn. East wing of present nurses home is shown in a
print published 1838, one of a series called "Scenes on the Road, or a trip to
Epsom and back". C18 to early C19, altered. East wing of 2 storeys and attic.
5 window bays. Slate roof with hip to right hand end. 3 hipped dormers. Cornice
and parapet. Pebbledash front. Sash windows with glazing bars intact. Central
doorway up a flight of steps; 6-panelled door with late C19 side-lights and semi-circular
fanlight; late C19 or later gabled canopy. West wing of later C19 date.
