Early C18. Wren. Two Portland stone piers each with paired Doric three-quarter
columns with triglyph frieze and cornice, surmounted by armorial plaques and lions.
Outer screen walls finished with pineapples. Wrought-iron gates with scrollwork,
large central pair flanked by lower gate to either side. The piers have Queen Anne's
monogram, the gates that of George I.
