Ice House at St. Joseph's Convent School

Icehouse. Late C18/early C19. Red brick rendered with lime-based
mortar. Exterior covered with earth and shrubs to provide shade.
Round-arched entrance from which descends a short flight of
shallow steps to a barrel vaulted tunnel approx. 8 feet long.
Cone shaped interior with drain at base and saucer dome. The ice
house was originally part of the Grove House estate.
