Late C19. Red brick with stone dressings and bands. 5 storeys, higher corner
tower with octagonal slate roof with lantern cupola, and flagstaff. Ground floor,
blue brick plinth, banded brick piers with stone capital course of shells, sea
gods and monsters. Plain stone frieze and cornice over, with corbels carrying
semi-octagonal brick pilasters against piers between windows on 1st, 2nd and 3rd
floors. Mullion and transom windows, including recessed oriels. Continuous stone bands at cills and heads, with moulded brick panels below 2nd and 3rd floorwindows. Strapwork frieze and cornice, with plainer attic storey over, with brick parapet and stone coping. Brick pilasters carried up, terminating in stone finials. Slated roof over, with dormer windows.
