Early C17 house, now offices; restored by Seeley and Paget in 1930. Red corner brick building. 4 storeys plus another in tiled roof with hipped, boarded gable to street. Arcaded ground storey, largely modern. Pairs of two-storeyed timber bay windows above, now with casement windows. Brick storey bands and timber eaves cornice. Fine panelled room on 2nd floor with much early woodwork. Similar room with painted panelling on the floor below. C17 staircase from second floor to attic. The building is of particular interest because it survived the Great Fire of London. The Seeley and Paget restoration was sensitive and archaeologically accurate.
