Lodge to Whatton House. Late C19. White brick laid on edge in imitation of
small ashlar blocks. Stone window dressings, deeply overhanging flat wooden
eaves on shaped brackets, hipped roof of asbestos slates, central row of 5
square white brick chimney shafts. One storey; 3 bays, the centre bay slightly
advanced. Sash-shaped fixed windows with wooden glazing bars and small panes,
in raised stone surrounds with cyma recta cornices. Narrower lights in centre
bay flank flush-panelled door and share similar cornice. Wrought iron lamp
bracket hangs from eaves to right.
