Probably house and shop, now building society. Facade c1820,
probably with earlier origins and with later additions and
alterations including c1980s to ground-floor shop front. Stucco
over brick with concealed roof. 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows.
First and second floor sill bands. 2/2 horned sashes in
near-flush frames with tooled architraves, those to first floor
have friezes and pediments. Crowning low coped parapet.
Horizontal rustication to ground floor. End and off-centre left
entrances: renewed 6-panel doors, that to centre part-glazed.
Renewed windows between chanelled horizontal pilaster strips.
INTERIOR altered to ground floor, otherwise not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: 'By the sixteenth century, Broad Street was
second only to High Street in commercial importance. On the
direct route through the city from the (Worcester) Bridge (qv),
it contained the business premises of a number of important
traders and at least two inns'. Several houses on Broad Street
are known to have C17 and earlier origins (Nos 32, 40, 41 and 57
(qqv)).

group: Nos 10, 10A, 11 and the Crown Inn, 12, 18, 19, 29, 32-36
(consecutive), 40, 41, 43-49 (consecutive), 51-63 (consecutive),
