Parish church. 1828, altered C20. Red brick in Flemish bond,
painted ashlar dressings, slate roof with overhanging eaves.
Nave plus western bellcote, facetted chancel, west porch. The
gabled porch has plinth and pointed and stepped outer arch
surrounded by a sandstone cross, angle pilasters and blank
stepped side arches. The west end of the nave has pilaster
buttresses and square bellcote with roundel beneath and louvred
chamfered bell openings to east and west. Angle pilasters rise
from sandstone corbels, the pyramidal roof has emaciate sandstone
battlements. Side walls of the nave have advanced window bays.
The 2 windows are of 2 lights with wooden tracery, stepped
surrounds and plain bracketed cills. In the east end of the nave
is a roundel. The lower facetted chancel, has a plain east
window matching the rest. To either side of the chancel are
lower C20 additions. Interior. Plastered and lined to resemble
ashlar. The west door has a moulded and painted surround and
double panelled doors. Above are blank quatrefoils in circles.
The chancel arch matches with lower blank arches to either side.
The chancel has blank pointed openings on side walls.
Furnishings are all C19.
